Brooklyn Coffee, Tea and Guest House is a light friendly place to enjoy a stimulating drink. The inside is roomy with plenty of tables and chairs, but on a nice day, the garden is the place to sit with friends. If your friends or family need a place to stay while they are visiting, there are guest rooms available. In the dining area and on each floor is wall space for artwork. Receptions for the featured artists are scheduled on Thursday evenings to coincide with Gallery Night Providence. Brooklyn House also has space to rent for private occasions. Their regular hours are from 8 am to 2 pm on Tuesday through Saturday, but concerts and other events are booked at other times. A concert may be happening on Friday evening, and a special dining event can take place on Sunday afternoon. Check their website Brooklyn Coffee, Tea and Guest House for the event schedule.
Brooklyn House was built in 1873 and is located in the Historic Smith Hill District at 209 Douglas Ave Providence. It is 1 mile from the main campus of Providence College, right next door to the Provience College annex, and 2.5 miles from Rhode Island College.
